Salina Mitera
Sixteen years into my practice, I have the privilege of helping young, talented photographers grow and hone their craft. In turn, they support my process and teach me how to continue looking at things differently. As a photographer, I get to witness stories as they unfold—the laughter, vulnerability, and love that couples, families and friends share with one another. These moments drive me to pick up my camera and go the extra mile.
I personally believe that great imagery is always created in camera first. We use editing tools, such as photoshop, to enhance imagery that is stunning to begin with.
I always endeavour to support my clients in having the experience they want for their special occasion. I am here for you along the way. From helping you organize the day, plan important photos, scout locations and being an overall support system—so you can focus on what’s important.
Process
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Every booking starts with meeting Salina. I want to hear all about your day. What you have planned so far and most importantly, the experience you want to have. From there, we work together and curate a collection of services that suit your wants and needs.
The Consultation
I will help plan out locations, craft a session that represents who you are as a people and even help you choose what outfits to wear. I always endeavour to support the process of your planning and provide as much, or as little support as you need. I meet with my clients anywhere from 2-4 weeks from their event to ensure we are prepared and things go smoothly.
The Planning
We bring the fun and creativity so all you have to do is just be you. Your photographer(s) show up excited and ready to immerse themselves in your day. We make sure we are set up and ready to shoot at your predesignated start time. If you could feed us at some point during the day—that’d be great.
The Big Day
Once we’re done & home—all there is to do is deliver the goods. We post sneak peaks via instagram during our editing process (if it’s ok with you). We provide album design services, thank you cards, photo print services, online galleries and USB sticks. All encapsulating imagery that will make you wish you could get married all over again.
